Mother relieved at release of Ryan brothers
The mother of the two brothers abducted at gunpoint in Limerick city last Thursday night has spoken of her relief that her sons were released unharmed this morning.
Twenty-year-old Eddie Ryan Jnr and his 19-year-old brother Kieran hadn't been seen since the abduction in Ballynanty.
They walked into Portlaoise garda station early this morning after being released on the nearby Abbeyleix Rd at around 3am.
Their mother Mary Ryan said her sons are in shock and have not spoken about what happened over the past week.
She added that she wants the long-running family feud which led to the abduction to end.
