Italian investment to create 60 jobs

Italian pharmaceutical group Recordati is to create 60 jobs through a €28m investment in Ireland.

The project will see the establishment of a research and development centre, a pharmaceuticals manufacturing facility and an international marketing operation at Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.

It is being supported by the Industrial Development Agency.

Announcing the move today, Tanaiste Mary Harney said the investment was part of the company’s strategy to grow internationally.

She added: “It continues Ireland’s success in attracting pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, which operate at the leading edge of these sectors, both in terms of products and future developments.”
