A Somalian father was not legally insane at the time he killed his 20-month-old son, a consultant psychiatrist at the Central Mental Hospital told a murder trial jury today.

Dr Damian Mohan, consultant forensic psychiatrist, told the jury that he based his opinion on an interview with the accused, Yusif Abdi Ali at the Central Mental Hospital, and on clinical notes from that hospital, the Mater Hospital and GPs.
