PSNI investigates orange attack
Police in the North are investigating an overnight attack which caused extensive damage to an Orange Lodge hall in Co Tyrone.
A 12ft hole was left in the gable end of the Moree Orange Hall near Pomeroy after a mechanical digger was driven through the wall in the early hours of the morning.
The roof was also extensively damaged. The incident was reported at around 6am and a forensic examination is due to be carried out later today.
Police described the attack as a deliberate act of destruction and said they are keeping an open mind about a motive.
A spokesman for the local Orange Lodge said the hall was only rebuilt in 1999 following an arson attack which levelled the building two years earlier.
