Greens call for Carrickmines compromise
The Green Party have appealed for a compromise over the Carrickmines Castle and M50 motorway affair.
Speaking this afternoon, the party's environment spokesperson Ciaran Cuffe TD asked the Co Council to change the layout of the junction so that more remains of the castle could be salvaged.
He said: "We believe the following measures are reasonable and can be implemented within a reasonable time."
"We realise this is the 11th hour but surely the Council, the NRA and Transport Minister Seamus Brennan can compromise in the interests of this extremely important archaeological site."
