Man suffers punctured lung in stabbing

A man has been stabbed in a serious assault in Limerick City.

The victim received a number of stab wounds to the upper body in the assault, which occurred in the early hours of this morning on Flag Lane, off Broad Street.

He is being treated in hospital for a collapsed lung.

Noone has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
