New Bishop for Church of Ireland

The Church of Ireland diocese of Cashel, Ossory and Ferns will get a new Bishop today.

The reverend Peter Barrett will be consecrated at a special service at Dublin's Christ Church cathedral.

It will be attended by the Anglican primate of Ireland, Dr. Robin Eames, as well as Cardinal Desmond Connell.

Archbishop of Dublin Dr John Neill who is performing the ordination insists the reverend Barrett is well known to his parish where he will be serving.
