Pedestrian killed in Navan hit-and-run

A pedestrian has died following a road traffic accident in County Meath.

The man, in his early thirties, was struck on the Slane road near Navan at around 10.30pm last night.

He was then taken taken to our Lady's hospital in Navan however died earlier this morning at 2am.

Gardai now say that they are treating the incident as a hit-and-run.
