Employers, trade unions, social and voluntary groups and farming organisations are to meet in Government buildings this afternoon for talks on the proposed framework for a new social partnership deal.

The framework was put forward by the Government after the employers' group IBEC and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) failed to reach agreement among themselves.
