Pensioners robbed overnight
Two pensioners are recovering in hospital this afternoon after being robbed overnight in seperate incidents in Belfast.
A 93-year-old pensioner is recovering after being beaten around the head and face during a robbery at his residence.
The robbers attacked the man's home in the New Lodge area of north Belfast overnight.
In another robbery, an 81-year-old woman was robbed at her home on the Cregagh Road in east Belfast.
During the raid, the elderly woman was forced into an alleyway were she was trapped.
Police in the north are now investigating both incidents.
