ICTU defer decision on partnership proposals

The executive council of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions has decided to defer a decision on whether to accept the Government's social partnership proposals until tomorrow.

ICTU officials met for several hours last night to discuss the proposals, which provide for a 7% phased pay rise over the coming 18 months.
