Hospital guard on man after woman's murder

A 32-year-old man was under police guard in hospital tonight after being arrested in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old woman in the North.

Nichola Dickson was found stabbed to death in the bedroom of her Hillhead Road home in the Ballycarry area near Larne in Co Antrim.

The arrested man was taken to hospital after being found seriously injured in the same house.

It is understood the victim’s body was discovered by her mother shortly before 3pm on Tuesday.
