'Tractor protest' causes traffic disruption

Today's 'tractor protest' by the Irish Farmers Association has caused traffic disruption in parts of Cork, Kerry and Mayo.

Hundreds of tractors disrupted traffic across Ireland today as farmers began a week-long protest at industry conditions.

Farmers took to the streets this morning and are due to converge on Dublin on Friday in demonstration at what they call the “silent extinction” of their industry.
