Forecasters predict further icy conditions

Met Eireann has warned of further icy conditions throughout Ireland tonight, with Connacht, Ulster and the Midlands expected to be the worst-hit areas.

Forecasters say the far south and south-west should escape the frost, but other areas could experience temperatures as low as minus three degrees.

There could also be snow on higher ground, but most areas are expected to remain dry and very cold.
