Elderly woman dies in fire in Co Louth

An 86-year-old woman has died in a house fire in north Co Louth.

The fire broke out in the kitchen of the house in Kilcurry at around 3.30pm.

Gardaí are not treating the blaze as suspicious, but the house has been sealed off for technical examination to determine the exact cause.
