A man charged with the murder of a teenage boy who was stabbed to death in Northern Ireland is due in court today.

Samuel Killops, 16, died from wounds inflicted during an attack in Portadown, Co Armagh.

The victim, from Festival Road, Portadown, died on his way to hospital after the attack in the Carlton Street area on Saturday night.

A police spokesman said a 27-year-old man had been charged with murder and was due to appear before Craigavon magistrates today.
