Hepatitis C victim leaves for London
A Cork woman who contracted Hepatitis C in 1991 has left Ireland for an operation abroad.
32-year-old Sylvia O'Leary has left Cork airport for London, where she is to undergo a life-saving liver transplant.
Last week, her family was involved in a row with the Minister for Health Micheál Martin over compensation for the operation.
It is expected that Sylvia will undergo the operation tonight in King's college hospital in London.
