Professor adds voice to Shanganagh campaign

Trinity Professor Dr Paul Cullen has joined with campaigners opposing the decision by the Minister for Justice to close Shanganagh Castle detention centre in Dublin.

The centre, which is the only prison facility for young offenders, is due to be closed down and the property is to be sold off.

Dr Cullen said he believes the facility should be retained and developed to cater for the needs of young offenders.
