Gardai close to identifying road victim

Gardai in Co Monaghan have said they believe they're close to identifying a pedestrian who was killed in a road accident this morning.

The young man, who is thought to be in his twenties, was struck by a car on the N2 at Aghavilla, near Carrickmacross.
