Corkman pleads guilty to Rochestown murder
A 19 year-old Cork man has pleaded guilty to the murder of one woman and the attempted murder of another in Rochestown in Cork last April.
Peter Whelan, of Ashgrove in Rochestown pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court today to the murder of Nicola Sweeney (aged 20) and to the attempted murder of Sinead O’Leary at Underwood House, Rochestown, Cork on April 27, 2002.
