Driver error blamed for 80% of fatal accidents

Driver error was responsible for 80% of all fatal road accidents last year, according to the National Roads Authority.

A report by the NRA found that of the 411 people who died in road accidents in 2001, 202 died in crashes on straight roads and 103 on roads with bends.
