Lotto deadline jackpot expires today

A €1.6m Lotto jackpot will be returned the National Lottery's prize fund at the close of business today if the lucky winner fails to collect his or her cheque.

The 90-day deadline for collecting winnings expires today and, if the ticket holder fails to appear, the €1.6m will become the second-largest unclaimed jackpot in the Lotto's 14-year history.
