Latest 'tax amnesty' deadline expires today

The deadline for bogus non-resident account holders to avail of the latest "tax amnesty" offered by the Revenue Commissioners expires later today.

In October, Revenue wrote letters to people it believed held these bogus accounts and, since then, it has collected around €50m in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties.
