Adair associate escapes gun attack
A close associate of Johnny “Mad Dog” Adair escaped a gun attack in a shooting linked to the loyalist paramilitary feud in Belfast today.
A bullet struck the back of his car when a gunman opened up in the city’s Glenbryn area. He is a former prisoner.
Two other men who were with him at time also escaped unhurt.
West Belfast friends of Adair blamed the Ulster Defence Association in north Belfast for the shooting.
John White said: “This going to lead to a loss of life. The UDA leadership needs to take stock of the direction they are going.”
