AA horrified at drunk-driving figures

The AA has expressed its horror at figures showing that around 30 motorists are being arrested for drunk driving each day in the run-up to Christmas.

A total of 261 motorists were arrested in the first week of the gardai's annual crackdown on drunk driving, while 248 were arrested during the second week of the operation.
