Almost €149m in unpaid taxes was recouped in the first nine months of this year, according to figures released today by the Revenue Commissioners.

Almost €149m in unpaid taxes was recouped in the first nine months of this year, according to figures released today by the Revenue Commissioners.

The unpaid tax, which was discovered during audits, was collected from a total of 1,369 individuals and businesses. In 184 of the cases, the sum of money involved exceeded €12,700, giving the Revenue Commissioners the right to "name and shame" those involved.
