Martin says mother was seen in Monaghan Hospital

Health Minister Michael Martin has told the Dail that, contrary to reports, the mother who lost her premature baby yesterday morning was seen at Monaghan Hospital.

The mother was en route to Cavan Hospital when her baby daughter died in the ambulance.

Mr Martin, who is awaiting a health board report on the matter, said procedures are in place in Monaghan to deal with such cases.
