Man dies in fatal Dublin stabbing

A man in his late thirties has been killed after being assaulted and stabbed in Fairview in Dublin late last night.

The man was attacked on Ballybough Road by an unknown number of assailants just after 11.30pm.

Gardai say the man died from serious stab and head injuries shortly after being admitted to the Mater hospital at midnight. A motive for the attack has not yet been established.
