Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble was today meeting Northern Ireland Secretary Paul Murphy in London as a row rumbled on about the continued operation of cross-border bodies during the suspension of the Stormont Assembly.

Mr Trimble and his colleagues have threatened to walk out of multi-party talks aimed at restoring devolution in Northern Ireland following recent legislation in the Dail allowing the bodies to continue operating.
