Cowen set to reassure unionists in Dublin meeting
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, will try and reassure unionists at a meeting later today in Dublin that recent Dail legislation does not amount to joint authority over the North.
The Ulster Unionist Party is furious that the British and Irish governments have both enacted legislation to take over running the six cross-border implementation bodies during the suspension of the assembly and executive at Stormont.
