Dukes appointed to Institute of European Affairs

Former Fine Gael leader Alan Dukes has been appointed as director-general of the Institute of European Affairs.

Former Fine Gael leader Alan Dukes has been appointed as director-general of the Institute of European Affairs.

Mr Dukes will take over the position from Joe Brosnan in January after recently announcing his wish to move away from electoral politics.

The Institute of European Affairs is an independent body which studies Irish policy in relation to the European Union.
