Woman's body found in Co Mayo lake

Gardai in Co Mayo have recovered a woman's body from Pike Lake around six miles from Crossmolina.

The body was spotted by a walker this afternoon.

A post mortem is due to be carried out later this evening or tomorrow.

Gardai have identified the dead woman, but her name will be withheld until all relatives are informed.
