Garda saves three from drowning

A student Garda saved three people from drowning in the River Liffey last night.

The incident began when gardai received an emergency call from a passer by who spotted two people in difficulty in the river shortly after 3am this morning. A third person then got into difficulty when he jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue them.
