Over 100 new jobs are to be created in four counties.

The International Fund for Ireland is announcing the positions in counties Donegal, Louth, Leitrim and Cavan.

€2.5m in funding is being provided for the projects to promote the organisation's key objectives of social reconcilliation and economic advance in the border region.

Over €1.3m has been allocated to development projects in Donegal, where over 65 are expected to be created.

The monies will be given to the Erne Enterprise Development Company who will facilitate the provision of five new units aimed at business growth in the graphic design and software development sectors.

And 25 jobs are to be created at a new Enterprise Centre in the village of Kilcar.

In County Louth, a high-tech incubation unit will be developed near Drogheda, providing space for fledging businesses in the software and ICT sectors.

This will result in an estimated 30 jobs.

In Drunshanbo in Leitrim, further development units are to be funded, which will provide a minimum of eight positions.

And in Cavan, tourism is to recieve a boost with the construction of five self-catering holiday units in Ballyhaise.

North Cavan will also recieve additional funding for the Bunoe Community Development Centre.

The International Fund for Ireland has so far invested €700m aiding over 5,000 projects.
