Man questioned in connection with rape released

A man who had been questioned by gardai in Cork about the rape of an Australian tourist, has been released without charge.

However a file is being prepared by for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The woman in question was assaulted just over a week ago as she walked along the Western Rd in Cork city.
