Two gardai involved in the May Day riot in Dublin earlier this year have begun legal action to stop the Garda Complaints Board taking any further proceedings against them.

Two gardai involved in the May Day riot in Dublin earlier this year have begun legal action to stop the Garda Complaints Board taking any further proceedings against them.

Both Garda Corcoran and Garda Gorman from Pearse Street station are under investigation for use of violence and not wearing appropriate identification on the day.

Both men claim comments made by the board previously into an inquiry have prejudiced their right to a fair hearing.
