Aer Rianta enquiry finds no evidence of unpaid bill
The enquiry by Aer Rianta into claims that a Government Minister left an unpaid bill amounting to £5000 for alcohol and cigars, has seen no evidence to substantiate the claims.
The chairman of Aer Rianta Noel Hanlon said this evening that the enquiry team had so far seen nothing to back up claims which were made in last week's Sunday Independent.
He said the inquiry, which is being conducted by the Company Secretary and the Head of Internal Audit, has involved the interviewing of relevant personnel and the examination of substantial documentation.
The inquiry is expected to be completed early next week when a report from the Auditors to Aer Rianta will be provided to the Chairman.
