Dead man in Wicklow may have been shot
The body of a man found in woodland on the Dublin-Wicklow border may have been shot, according to reports.
The man, in this late 20s or early 30s, was discovered face down in Ballinascorney woods by two hill walkers at around 10am this morning.
It's understood that he suffered head injuries with some reports suggesting that he may have been shot.
The assistant State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, will carry out a post mortem later today.
The Garda Technical Bureau has sealed off the area for examination.
