Hillwalkers find dead body in Co Wicklow

Gardai in Tallaght have been alerted to the discovery of a man's body in Ballinascorney Upper, Co Wicklow.

Two hillwalkers made the discovery in open ground at around 10.30am this morning.

The victim had suffered head injuries.

The man is believed to be in his late twenties or early thirties.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination and Dr Marie Cassidy is due to attend the scene shortly.

Gardai from the Garda Technical Bureau are at the scene.
