'Major player' in drugs trade jailed for five years

A "major player" in the Cork city drugs trade was jailed for five years today for flying cannabis resin in from Spain for sale in Cork city.

John Heaphy (aged 50) of 59 Kerryhall Road, Cork, got the sentence at Cork Circuit Criminal Court where he was described as engaging in professional drug dealing.
