Parents association welcomes ASTI ballot

The Catholic Secondary School Parents Association has welcomed the result of the ASTI ballot, which voted to accept the Government's pay offer for carrying out supervision and substitution duties.

The Catholic Secondary School Parents Association has welcomed the result of the ASTI ballot, which voted to accept the Government's pay offer for carrying out supervision and substitution duties.

They have agreed by a 63% majority to accept an offer of €37-per-hour to bring the long-running dispute to a close.

The union will now pursue pay claims to bring teachers' salaries in line with other professionals.
