Fine Gael has vowed to make another effort to secure an extension of the Morris Tribunal's terms of reference, this time by tabling a private members' motion in the Senate.

The Fianna Fail-Progressive Democrats coalition has already voted down a Fine Gael motion in the Dail calling for the terms to be extended to include an investigation of the actions of the Garda Commissioner, the former Justice Minister, the former Attorney General and the State Solicitor in Donegal.
