A 25 year-old labourer today denied an attempt on another man's life in a shooting in Limerick city in 1998.

At the Central Criminal Court, Mr David McCarthy, of O'Callaghan Ave, Kileely, Limerick pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Mr Patrick McNamara (aged 47) of Cosgrove Park, Moyross, Limerick on June 11, 1998 at Craeval Park, Moyross in Limerick.
