Spanish boats will endanger Irish fish levels, says MEP

The European Parliament will vote this Thursday on the EU-Common Fisheries Policy and whether Spain should be allowed more access to Irish waters.

The European Parliament will vote this Thursday on the EU-Common Fisheries Policy and whether Spain should be allowed more access to Irish waters.

Member of the European Parliament, Sean O'Neachtain, says Irish Fish levels are falling and livelihoods on Irish coasts will be at risk if more Spanish boats are allowed to fish the coast.

Spain is permitted to have 40 boats fishing in Irish waters at the moment.
