Cabinet meeting ends

Cabinet ministers have finished a special meeting held today. It was expected that the recent estimates announced would be part of the agenda today, however it has been confirmed they were not mentioned.

Instead, the ministers' meeting centred on the national spatial strategy, a successor to the PPF and the convention of Europe.

There were also talks on the recent flooding crises that hit parts of north Dublin and south Meath in recent days.
