Man dies in housefire in Dublin

A man has died following a fire in a house in Dublin early this morning.

The body of a man in his 40's was removed from a house in Richmond Rd, Drumcondra and taken to the Mater hospital.

He died following a fire in the bedroom of his house, which is believed to started shortly after 12.15am.

The scene is being preserved for technical examination today.
