Diabetes drive launched in Leinster House

The Diabetes Federation of Ireland will establish a screening facility in Leinster House today to mark World Diabetes Day.

The federation has urged politicians to avail of the facility.

There are currently more than 120,000 diagnosed diabetics in Ireland, but experts believe at least 250,000 more have the condition and are unaware of it.
