McCreevy to respond to no-confidence motion

Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy is to respond to accusations that he has mishandled the public finances and lied to the public to cover it up.

Fine Gael has tabled a motion of no-confidence in the Minister, saying he has mismanaged the economy to such an extent over the past 22 months that Ireland is now facing a Budget deficit despite years of unprecedented prosperity.
