Rape trial reaches closing stages

The trial of a man accused of raping his ex-girlfriend and detaining her in his flat against her will has reached its closing stages in the Central Criminal Court.

The jury of six man and six women has been addressed by both prosecuting counsel and defence counsel. It will begin its deliberations on Monday after it has been charged by Mr Justice Paul Carney.
