Man in court in connection with cannabis seizure
A 44-year-old Londoner appeared in court in Belfast today charged in relation to a major drugs operation at the weekend.
Stephen Osborne from Southwark Park Road, in Southwark, south London, UK, was charged at Laganside Magistrates Court with possession with intent to supply cannabis believed to be worth more than Ā£500,000.
The charges are believed to relate to the seizure of 110 kilos of cannabis from a vehicle outside a North Belfast hotel yesterday.
A detective constable from the drugs squad told the court he believed he could connect the accused to the crime.
Osborneās made no application for bail and was remanded in custody until November 11.
